The Venus LIVE auction house
Please read these rules before you bid. By placing a bid you agree to them.
Who can bid
- You must be 18 or older, signed in to your own Venus LIVE account and have completed any age or identity check we ask for.
- To enter the Auction house you need a minimum of 1,000 gold coins in your wallet, or an active monthly plan that includes Auction house access.
- One person, one account. Bidding from several accounts, or letting someone else bid on your account, is not allowed.
Bidding
- All bids are in Venus LIVE gold coins. Each bid must be higher than the current bid by at least the step shown on the bid buttons.
- A bid is a binding promise to buy the item at that price if you win. Bids cannot be withdrawn or cancelled once placed.
- You can only bid up to the coins in your wallet plus what you already have held on that lot. If the bid goes above that you will be asked to top up; until you do, you cannot bid again.
- Where two bids of the same amount arrive, the one our server received first wins.
Your coins are held while you bid
- When you bid, the coins you put up leave your wallet and are held by Venus LIVE for that lot. If you raise your own bid, only the difference is added to the hold.
- If you are outbid, your coins stay held until the lot closes.
- When the lot closes with a winner and it isn’t you, all your held coins go straight back into your wallet, immediately.
- You can then go back to the Auction house lobby and join any other live auction you like.
- If a lot ever fails to close, held coins are returned to your wallet automatically within 24 hours.
The hourglass and closing
- Each lot stays open while bids keep coming. After every bid the hourglass starts again from 3 minutes.
- When 3 minutes pass with no new bid, the auctioneer calls “Going once… Going twice…” and the lot is SOLD to the highest bidder.
- If nobody bids on a lot, it closes with no sale.
- Connection delays are your own risk: a bid counts when our server receives it, not when you pressed the button.
Winning
- If you win, the coins held for your winning bid become your payment the moment the lot is sold. Your other coins stay in your wallet and can be used anywhere on Venus LIVE.
- Your won item appears in My Orders. Choose your delivery option there; any delivery fee is shown before you confirm.
- The model ships the item to you. Venus LIVE does not hold stock and is the platform that brings buyers and models together.
No refunds or exchanges
- All auction sales are final. There are no refunds, returns or exchanges, including for change of mind, size, fit or colour.
- Coins are never paid back as money. Whenever coins are returned to you (a lot you did not win, a cancelled lot or a Buyers/Sellers Protection claim), they go back into your wallet as coins.
- The only exception is Buyers/Sellers Protection: if your item does not arrive, or arrives clearly different from how it was described, report it in My Orders within 24 hours of delivery. The model is only paid 24 hours after delivery, so we can step in.
Items and descriptions
- Models must describe their items honestly, including whether an item is new, worn or used, and show real photos of the actual item.
- Items are sold as described at the time of the auction. Small differences in colour on your screen are not a fault.
- Only items allowed by our Terms of Service and the law may be auctioned. Prohibited items are removed and their auctions cancelled.
Fair play
- Models may not bid on their own lots, and may not ask friends or other accounts to bid them up (“shill bidding”).
- No collusion between bidders, fake bids, bots or scripts.
- For fairness and security we keep a secure record of every sign-in and every bid: your account, IP address, device and the exact time. We use it to settle disputes and to investigate cheating, and it is kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
- If we find cheating we may cancel bids or results, suspend or close accounts, and keep coins gained through abuse.
Cancelled auctions
- Venus LIVE may pause, cancel or re-run a lot because of a technical fault, a rule breach or a mistake in the listing.
- If a lot is cancelled by us, every bidder’s held coins, the winner’s included, are put back in their wallets.
Disputes and changes
- If something goes wrong, contact support@venuslive.co.za with the auction, lot and time. Our decision, based on the bid record, is final.
- These rules sit alongside our Terms of Service. We may update them; the version on this page when you bid is the one that applies.
